Foxtrot
After starting as an in-house freelancer at Foxtrot, I was hired on full-time shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, I began the majority of my time at Foxtrot in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and high-demand hybrid work environment.
The unparalleled growth of the company required me to wear many shoes, ranging from the arenas of food and product packaging to digital advertising and in-store signage. I also designed webpages for campaigns as well as iconography for the Foxtrot desktop site and mobile app. I oftentimes managed my own projects but still worked closely with other creatives, marketing leads, developers, and growth strategists.
Private label sweets.
The most involved—and show-worthy—project during my time at Foxtrot was designing and producing the packaging for their line of private label sweets.
Unique packaging sizes and techniques were used for all three categories of treats: brownies, creme pies, and wafers. For example, to ensure appealing merchandising possibilities (and to accommodate their larger dimensions), the brownies were packaged in standing bags. A different, playful pastel color was chosen for each SKU as well.
Each item sold well and often took up spots in front-of-store displays. By the project’s end, I had also memorized how to spell a myriad of bizarre (and unsettling) food ingredients.
My favorite contribution.
I was fortunate to be given a shot at adding to Foxtrot’s pantheon of Gummy gods: Mr. Blitzed Berry.
